Sedimentation
Sedimentation
Sedimentation is a key process in water treatment where particle-bound contaminants are removed by allowing them to settle at the bottom. This process effectively separates suspended solids from the water, collecting them at the base of the container.
Sedimentation Container 23 m³
A sedimentation container is used to separate particles and sludge from turbid water through gravitational settling. As water flows through the container, internal baffles slow down the flow, allowing heavier particles to sink to the bottom while the cleaner water continues to exit the container.Sedimentation is often used as a pre-treatment step before further water purification to reduce the load on subsequent filtration or treatment systems.
